A Great Start to the Season!

This year marked the 55th year of the Alma Highland Games and a great start for the band’s summer season. We met early on May 26th to kick off a wonderful competition weekend. We were once again surrounded by the beautiful Alma College campus after a 2 year hiatus to the Alma High School Campus. The Saturday event turned into a gorgeous day after a brief bout of weather in the morning.

The band had the opportunity to reunite with several of our pipe band friends. Joining us on the field were 9 other grade V bands, as well as 3 grade IV bands and 3 grade II bands! This made for steep competition at this year’s games. We are proud to say that the band walked away with a fourth place prize this year.

The band put a superior performance out on the field and looks forward to only improving moving forward!

See us next at the Curwood Castle Festival in Owosso this Saturday, June 8th, and at North America’s Largest Piping Competition in Chicago on June 15th.
