Cultura!

Cultura is a celebration of culture through music, art, and food that brings the world to the community of Howell, Michigan. 

“This event is open to the public, FREE to attend and brings culturally significant experiences to our community in the form of visual art, spoken word, music, dance, and food.  Two stages will feature our performance artists, visual art will be displayed on the walls of the Historic Opera House and tantalizing culinary delights will be served by some of our favorite food truck vendors!

All aspects of the event will lead the attendees to learn just a little more than they expect, opening minds and hearts to more understanding and a deeper sense of global community.”

Located at the Howell Opera House, a historic cornerstone of the Howell Community, the event seeks to foster an environment of learning and open-mindedness. With exhibitions of folk music, ethnic dance, poetry reading, and different cultural foods the event will showcase the diversity from in and around Mid-Michigan. 

Sponsored by the Livingston Arts Council and Livingston Diversity Council, this vibrant celebration of diversity kicks off with the Flint Scottish Pipe Band performance at 12:45 at the outside stage and Agaw Dilim on piano and Persian Santoor at the indoor stage at noon.
