Introducing Your New Pipe Sergeant

Flint Scottish Pipe Band is proud to introduce our new Pipe Sergeant, Ed Hanley!

Ed started his Highland music education at age 9 when his uncle brought him to bagpipe band practice with the Manchester Police Band, where he started drumming lessons. Ed played guitar for 25 years before reuniting with Highland music when he joined the Flint Scottish in 2011.

Flint Scottish is excited to have Ed’s experience and commitment to see the band through moving forward. He is always ready to step up and take charge with his can-do aditude, while keeping rehearsals fun and light. There is no one Pipe Major Josie would rather have at her side. He has begun teaching new students, and looks forward to continuing the grand tradition of Scottish music with (the Flint Scottish Pipe Band) us!

Omg Eddie get a hold of me please. I bought my pipes and have always loved the pipes and come to find out my heritage is Scottish.
